About these terms

These terms apply when you use avani.sbs or book tutoring with Avani Academy, run by Avani Shukla in India. By using the site or booking lessons you agree to them. Questions? Email avaniacademy1@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 97264 19892.

Our tutoring service

  • We offer live online maths lessons for students in Grades 5–12, one-to-one or in small groups, on Google Meet or Zoom.
  • Lessons follow the student's curriculum as described on our website. If we're not the right fit for a particular course or exam, we'll tell you.
  • Lesson times are agreed with you in your local time zone and depend on availability.

Free trial

  • The free trial is a single live session of about 30 minutes to understand the student's level and suggest a plan.
  • There's no obligation to continue and no payment is needed for the trial.
  • We may decline or reschedule a trial request, for example if we can't offer a suitable time.

Fees and payment

  • Fees depend on the student's grade, curriculum, lesson length and whether lessons are one-to-one or in a group. We'll confirm the fee, how and when to pay, and any package details with you in writing (for example by WhatsApp or email) before regular lessons start.
  • We don't take payments through this website.

Rescheduling and cancellations

  • Please let us know as early as possible if a lesson needs to move.
  • The notice period and what happens to a missed or late-cancelled lesson are agreed with you before lessons start, along with the fees.
  • If we have to cancel a lesson, we'll offer another time or won't charge for it.

Online lessons

  • A parent or guardian is responsible for the student's device, internet connection and a suitable place to learn.
  • Students should behave respectfully in lessons. We may pause or end a lesson, or stop lessons, if behaviour is abusive or unsafe.
  • We don't record lessons unless we've agreed it with you first.

No guarantee of results

We teach carefully and give honest feedback, but a student's results depend on many things outside our control. We don't guarantee any particular grade, mark, exam result or school place.

Student accounts

If we give a student a login for online tests, keep the password private and tell us if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that's misused.

Website content

  • Blog articles and website content are general information to help parents. Exam rules, syllabuses and university requirements change, so always check official sources and your child's school.
  • The site's content, our lesson materials and worksheets belong to Avani Academy. You may use them for the student's own learning, but please don't copy, sell or share them publicly without permission.
  • Don't misuse the site, for example by submitting false or automated form entries, trying to break its security or overloading it.

Our responsibility to you

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country that can't be excluded. Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, or for problems caused by things outside our control such as internet outages or third-party platforms (for example Google Meet, Zoom or WhatsApp).

Privacy

How we use personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
